Most functional and marketing claims on personal care products are built around the active materials within the water-based or oil-based formulation. However, the emulsifiers and stabilisers that govern texture, feel and application properties can be combined in two-phase or multi-phase emulsions to offer a dramatic improvement in aesthetic appeal and often a noticeable enhancement in functional efficacy.
