The present invention relates to a functional material capsule for improving thermal stability of a functional material for polymer compounding capable of melt processing, a filament using the same, and a manufacturing method thereof. More specifically, the functional material remains sufficiently in spite of melt extrusion after compounding with a high melting point polymer such as PET by improving the heat resistance of the encapsulated functional material when coating the capsule adsorbing the functional material on porous nanoparticles with metal oxide, and then functional fibers can be produced by melt-extruding the functional material with a general purpose polymer having a high melting point.
