Described are transparent or translucent cosmetic emulsions comprising an aqueous phase,an oil phase and a surfactant,the oil phase containing a miscible mixture of at least one cosmetic oil and at least one volatile fluoro compound.The introduction suggests that transparent emulsions have a strong aesthetic appeal but the methods commonly employed in their formulation are unsatisfactory.
