A TREE OF THE MONTH GROWS IN EWING

The Ewing Township Environmental Commission has established a Tree of the Month Program to foster a greater appreciation among Township residents for trees in the community, especially those that are exceptional because of their beauty, size or historical significance.It all began when Ewing Environmental Commission member Van Cotter, PhD, director of laboratories at FMC in Ewing and inveterate plant pathologist and biologist, suggested a program to highlight noteworthy trees in the Township. Cotter's suggestion dovetailed nicely with the beginning of the town's Community Forestry Program.
