The many different areas of potential improvement in power plant operating efficiency can be best tapped only by taking an overall view of operations management. This requires not only close scrutiny of individual areas of activity and processesbut also, more importantly that these individual areas are meaningfully interconnected. Integrated information systems help to achieve these goals.
