Small Particle Size Lanthanum Cerium Terbium Phosphate (LAP) and Yttrium Europium Oxide (YEO) Phosphors for CCFL Backlight Units in LCD Displays

Small particle, green-emitting lanthanum cerium terbium phosphate (LAP) and red-emitting yttrium europium oxide (YEO) phosphors have been synthesized by a scalable continuous flow precipitation method for incorporation into white triblend phosphors for high brightness, sub-miniature CCFLs for LCD backlight units, and the emission properties have been investigated.
