High-Transmittance Slim-border 720p a-Si TFT-LCD for Mobile-Display Applications

摘要

A novel 4.46-inch 720p (720*RGB*1280) display utilizing low cost a-Si (amorphous silicon) backplane has been successfully demonstrated. The proposed a-Si based gate driver with new structure achieves high performance 1.0 mm panel border under 720p/330PPI high resolution display. Moreover, our proposed new a-Si structure with high transmittance can provide green solution for low power consumption and reduce material cost.
