Secure Mobile Payment Service Using Vibration Cues on Near Field Communication Smartphone

In recent years, the rapid development of mobile NFC payment service is growing rapidly and lots of payment companies provide electronic payment services through Smartphone. The benefit of using Smartphone as the medium through which such services are provided is that they can be used anytime and anywhere. As a result, more people are using their Smartphone to carry out their payment transactions. However security problem such as SSA (Shoulder Surfing Attack) and Relay Attack wasn't clearly solved yet. Therefore, this paper proposes a Secure Mobile Payment System using electronic payment authentication method such as vibration cues. The proposed method enables an efficient, secure mobile payment service by analyzing security issues likely to occur in payments using NFC Smartphone. A step-by-step flow chart of the proposed method is given, as well as a design plan. Security modules are designed and implemented to verify the efficiency and validity of the research. Finally, the effectiveness and conveniences of our suggested services were confirmed through User Study.
