Succesful Shift Management at BSW (Badische Stahl Werke GmbH)

Badische Stahl Engineering GmbH (BSE) is a worldwide well known know-how driven company. Its fields of activity are technical solutions for the steel industry offering hardware, engineering and consultancy services. Design, engineering and continuous enhancement resulting from operational experience of the own steel plant Badische Stahlwerke (BSW) belonging like BSE to the Badische Group and the feedback of the customers worldwide are some of the key success factors of BSE engineering and BSE products.Since 1968, Badische Stahlwerke GmbH (Kehl / Germany) has been operating two electric arc furnaces in Kehl/Germany. Due to continuous training of the people, hardware development and optimisation, BSW has become a world-class steel producer operating on a very high level of efficiency. Beginning with 350.00 t of production first year (1968) it expanded to over 2.2 million tonnage, aiming for 2.4 million tonnage in 2015 with two 100t EAFs. A new goal is to increase production to 2.8 million tons/year planned in the near future.
