GOING GONG HO

Last November, I visited Ocala Recycling (Ocala, Fla.) to write an article on its achievement as the first scrap recycling company to be certified under ISRI's Recycling Industry Operating Standard. During my interviews there, I asked how the company managed to reach that goal. Tyler Macanaugh, the firm's special projects manager, said one part of the answer lay in a book titled Gung Ho! by Ken Blanchard and Sheldon Bowles. Ocala Recycling requires its employees to read the book as part of their training, he explained. Rather than describing the book's message, Tyler kindly gave me a copy to read.
