The seafood industry has been awash with sustainability drives for several years, and yet a certain degree of hypocrisy prevails. Companies are providing safe, eco-labeled fish - but often in non-sustainable packaging. Packaging manufacturers say thisis certainly not isolated to the seafood industry, and they admit packaging is very much a part of any product and plays a key role in communicating a company's sustainability message and values, something many seafood producers have excelled at in recent years.
