Development of twin-belt type thin slab caster

摘要

Twin-belt type thin slab caster (Twin belt caster),which can produce, at the rate of 10m/min, 1,800mm wide and75mm thick thin slab, has been developed jointly by Mitsubishi heavyduty industries, ltd. and Nippon steel corporation. Features of twinbelt casting process in regards to equipment operation and thin slabquality will be introduced in the following summary.
