Indian court postpones hearing into iron ore mining

The Indian Supreme Court has again postponed a scheduled hearing into alleged illegal iron ore mining in the southern state of Karnataka, much to the consternation of the local mining industry. Participants were widely expecting the court to pronounce a verdict on the issue in a hearing scheduled to take place Friday . The court however postponed the hearing to Friday, March 30 stating that its Central Empowered Committee (CEC) was yet to file a report required to progress the hearings.
