MDn planning for commercial mining early 2013

Brazil's Mineradora do Nordeste (MDN) intends to be ready for commercial startup of its 1 million mt/year export-oriented mine by early 2013. The company has finished partial research on the land located in Sobral, northern Ceara state, proving total indicated resources of 19 million mt, grading 65-68% Fe content. The company may produce 100,000 mt of iron ore every 30-45 days.
