Ukrainian ferrous scrap shipments to steelworks shrank dramatically in the January-April period, mark-ing a year on year fall of 34% in scrap deliveries to mills, to 1.53 million mt, according to the country's steel industry association, Metallurgprom. Metallurgprom said the sharp decline was hastened by very low temperatures throughout January and February that brought scrap collection almost entirely to a halt.
