Chinese and Japanese spot ferrosilicon prices have remained stable this week amid thin trade during the holiday period. However, some Chinese suppliers have increased offers in anticipation of better demand next year, sources said Thursday. China's spot prices for 75%-Si ferrosili-con were assessed at $1,340-1,370/mt FOB Thursday, unchanged from a week ago amid a lack of offers and deals. Japanese spot prices were also steady at $1,370-1,380/mt CIF Japan.
