Containerized scrap export prices offthe US West Coast to Taiwan jumped $15/mt thisweek on limited availability and rising Japanesescrap prices. Taiwanese mills paid $250-$255/mt CFR Taiwan for containerized HMS 80:20 thisweek, up from $235-$240/mt CFR last week.“Demand in Asia is good and Taiwan ispushing the market up,” one West Coast scrapsupplier said.
