Iron ore prices have been on a rollercoasterride since the 2008/09 financial crisishit and the volatility looks set to continue, withswaps values and analysts suggesting theextraordinary rises seen this week are likely tobe followed by further falls before long.Prices, as assessed by Platts, fell from$176/dry mt CFR China in June 2008 to the high$50s/dmt by April 2009, then bounced backquickly as Chinese demand hit back in a moretightly supplied market.
