Slower US exports taper scrap price momentum

Reduced US scrap export activity is tapering some of the upward pricing momentum the US domestic scrap market has experienced in August. With iron ore prices hitting a 32-month low this week, Asian and Indian markets have not been actively pursuing US scrap exporters' offers. After booking multiple cargoes earlier this month, activity to Turkey has slowed.
