Aurora highlights combined RFoG and RFPON

Optical networks specialist Aurora Networks used the US Cable Show at the start of April to highlight its combined RF-over-glass (RFoG) and RF passive optical network (RFPON) platform. RFoG is designed to enable cable operators to support FTTH deployments in new-build areas and traditional DOCSIS-based systems using a single infrastructure, while providing a path to a full PON-based FTTH network later.
