Aurora Networks debuts new RFPON GEPON CPEs for cable market

Aurora Networks Inc., an optical transport solution provider focused on delivering a cost-effective, optimized platform for next-generation cable services, introduced GEPON CPE and RFPON CPE (customer premises equipment) devices for the cable market, solutions that will help cable operators evolve their networks for an all-fiber future. The CPEs debuted at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2009 in Denver. The devices are part of Aurora Networks' slate of RFPON solutions, recognized throughout the industry for enabling cable operators to take advantage of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) architectures. The solutions also allow operators to future-proof their systems by providing a seamless migration path for the inclusion of PON services.
