Interspecies Embryo and Nuclei Transfer as an Approach to Endangered Mammalian Species Conservation

A review represents the current status in the area of interspecies embryos and nuclei transfer for conservation of mammalian species and breeds. Modern achievements have been reviewed in a historical pretext and key techniques, main problems, and perspectives of this approach have been discussed. The application of modern reproductive technologies for conservation of rare and endangered mammalian species has already been discussed (Rott, 1996; Amstislavsky et al., 1997).
