In the present study the cock comb leaves after grinding and extracting with distilled water were fractioned using n-hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and n-butanol separately in 3 batches, respectively 5 pi (100 ppm) of methanol re-dissolved residues of the dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and n-butanol extractants after mixing and filtering through microfilter paper were injected to Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LCMS) for componential analysis. The mass of ten compounds: coutaric, caftaric, 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde, gallic, 4-hydroxybenzoic, caffeic, pyrogallol, syringaldehyde, protocatechuic and 4-hydroxycinnamic acid, was confirmed. The results of four concentrations (25, 50, 75 and 100%) of aqueous extract against Lepidium sativum showed 100% germination up to 50% concentration while germination was observed 88% when 100% concentration was used. Similarly shoot and root lengths were observed at 3.35 and 3.2 cm at 25% concentration while at 100% concentration these parameters were found at 0.26 and 0.22 cm, respectively. Furthermore, analysis of variance showed significant difference among different concentrations of the cock comb aqueous extract against germination and growth of Lepidium sativum.
