Scientific independence of authors and of journals to their published articles.

Two invited articles on lymphatic malformations, by Perkins et al, were of great interest. The authors gave an excellent overview on lymphatic malformations at basic, clinical, and therapeutic levels. To obtain full scientific value, it would be interesting to clarify the editorial and/or authors' position toward Arthro-Care. 1. ArthroCare advertised on page two of the same issue in which the articles were published (volume 142, Number 6, June 2010). 2. Both articles obtained sponsorship from ArthroCare, and, furthermore, the manuscripts received approval from ArthroCare.
