Group opposes proposed language on eye,head PPE standards

ARLINGTON,VA-The International Safety Equipment Association announced its opposition to an OSHA-proposed rule to regulate the use of safety eyewear and hard hats.In comments submitted July 17,the group said OSHA's May 17 notice of proposed rulemaking,which aims to change the way the agency recognizes product performance standards for personal protective equipment,could potentially reduce the level of protection for workers and make employer compliance with the rule more difficult.
