Nonfatal injury rate drops for sixth consecutive year

For the sixth consecutive year,nonfatal injuries among U.S.workers decreased.In 2006,the rate fell to 4.4 cases per 100 equivalent full-time workers,from the 2005 rate of 4.6,according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' annual Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses.In 2004,the rate of nonfatal injuries was 4.8 cases per 100 equivalent full-time workers.
