Hip arthroscopy for developmental dislocation.

Prior to the article "Hip Arthroscopy for the Treatment of Children With Hip Dysplasia: A Preliminary Report" (30:262-264), several studies regarding arthroscopic interventions for developmental dislocation of the hip were published, and their techniques have been used with success. In another recent study, following iliopsoas tenoto-mies and freeing of the adhesions of the joint capsule, all die intra-articular hip pathologies were eliminated using an arthroscopic technique.Our series included 10 patients treated with arthroscopic-assisted surgical interventions since the study of Bulut et al. The mean follow-up period was 40.7 months (range: 15-72 months) in 9 patients. Successful results were obtained.
