Phosphorescence spectra of 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-n-dioxine in n-hexane are studied in detail at 4.2 K and their multiplet and vibronic structures are analyzed. Vibrations of this molecule and dibenzo-n-dioxine are studied in the ground electronic states theoretically and experimentally. Using the experimental results we elucidated the role of spin-orbit and vibronic-spin-orbit interactions in radiative depopulation of the lowest triplet state of tetrachlorodibenzo-n-dioxine.
