摘要

K-absorption of X-rays in solid-phase Ne close to the ionization threshold is studied. Processes of single and multiple excitation/ionization are analyzed. Calculations are performed taking into account the relaxation of the atomic core in the Hartree–Fock field of the 1s-vacancy. Single-electron wave functions are determined in a single-center single-channel approximation in the electrostatic field of 39 configuration spheres. Theabsolute values calculated for excitation/ionization cross sections give a good prediction of experimental results.
