We consider Maxwell's equations for an electromagnetic field propagating in carbon nanotubes placed in dispersive nonmagnetic dielectric media. An effective equation having the form of an analog of the classical sine-Gordon equation was obtained and analyzed numerically. The dependence of the pulse on the type of carbon nanotubes, initial pulse amplitude, and dispersion constants of the medium was revealed.
