Optical wavelet-based feature extraction of image with use of computer-generated hologram

We present a new scheme to design the computer-generated hologram (CGH) for achieving the wavelet transform in an optical system. The multiresolution edge and corner extraction of image can be implemented in this system. A brief derivation of the relevant equations used in the design of CGH is;given based on the general theory of optical transform. The computer simulation shows that the designed CGH can perform the feature extraction of image successfully. [References: 8]
