摘要

This article describes the development of an automated quality control polarization-dependent loss (PDL) measurement system which incorporates 978 nm, 1310 nm and 1550 nm DFB (distributed feedback laser) lasers and two internal fiber optic standards for monitoring the system stability and drift overtime. PDL measurements collected with the system for a WDM (wavelength division multiplexer) is presented. The system PDL measurements repeatability is <+/- 0.023 dB and the % CV (coefficient of variance) is <+/- 24%. (C) 2014 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved.
