摘要

Because of the bad weather condition, such as haze, fog and smoke, the imaging system is degraded to produce low visibility images. We propose an image visibility enhancement approach based on atmospheric transmission theory and weight analysis in bad weather condition. Weight analysis is introduced into our model, to generate good transmittance map and calculate proper luminance of the sky. It is proved that the kind of content-based idea could help enhance those edges and textures well, to show a good visual effect. According to the experiment results, we have proved that the proposed approach performs effectively and efficiently. (C) 2015 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved.
