In 1999, when William Jones arrived after a stay in Russia to become director of the Athabasca Tribal Council (ATC) Finance Department, things were done the old-fashioned way. "When I started here, we had a chequebook and an Excel spreadsheet," Jones explains. "They gave me 20,000 to come up with a new system. I went out and got an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) package. It's worked very good for this place."
