I have been an occupational therapy educator for over four decades. Over the years, I have noted a paucity of articles in occupational therapy journals that focus on teaching strategies that can be used to enhance basic competency. Except for a few special issues, there is a lack of publications that focus on pedagogy in our profession. There is an even smaller representation of articles that address pedagogy for continued competence (i.e., beyond the entry-level curriculum). The article presented here, seeks to begin to fill that void.
