Since its creation in 1999,National Petroleum Agency (ANP) has held five bidding rounds for petroleum and natural gas exploration and production licenses.Through the fourth round,157 blocks were offered;88 were acquired by 42 Brazilian and foreign companies,genreating RUS1.55 billion (US550 million) in participation fees and signature bonuses.
