Petronas’ Q3 production boosted by non-OPEC+ assets, Brazil entry

London—Malaysia’s Petronas reported Nov. 27 a 7% year-on-year increase in its crude and condensate production in the third quarter thanks to its presence in a number of non-OPEC+ countries, as it vowed a “disciplined” approach in the face of continued challenges. Malaysia is part of the OPEC+ producers’ pact, which has implemented major output cuts this year, but Petronas noted it had benefited from its new Campos Basin production in Brazil, where it bought its first upstream assets last year.
