AWE reports progress in Yemen

AUSTRALIAN BASED OIL and gas exploration and production company AWE has updated its progress at its Yemen interests. AWE reported in September that the Jebel Al Milh-1 well in Block 7 was at a depth of 4,227 metres and was preparing to further evaluate the Lam clastic units within the Madbi Formation. Analysis of the log data across a number of intervals within the Lam suggest possible oil saturation. AWE reported that elevated gas with oil shows were encountered while drilling the unit.
