Duo Cooperate on Carbon Capture

Australia and China have agreed to cooperate on a feasibility study into a commercial- scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in China. Australian Energy and Resources Minister Martin Ferguson said Friday the study will build on the Gaobeidian scheme, an existing joint demonstration project between China's Huaneng company and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, Australia's national science agency. The study will look at site selection, capture technology, storage, finance and timetables.
