BP appears to be angling for a role in a refinery planned by Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) in China that has already lined up Royal Dutch Shell and US Dow Chemical as Western partners.KPI President Hussein Ismail told the Kuwait News Agency (Kuna) earlier this week that it is holding preliminary talks with B P, which is evaluating the 300,000 barrel per day refinery in China's southern Guangdong province.
