Nabors buys Superior for $900 million

Nabors Industries Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda, (NYSE: NBR) plans to acquire oilfield services company Superior Well Services Inc., Indiana, Pa., (Nasdaq: SWSI) for approximately $900 million. The assets include a fleet with more than 430,000 hydrauhc-fracturing horsepower. Nabors expects to derive significant synergies in North America by integrating pumping services with its drilling and workover offerings.
