ABG Shipyard Ltd, one of the largest shipyard companies in India, is close to signing a deal to sell a majority stake in the company to Privinvest Holding, said sources in the second week of June. The company informed BSE that it had received a firm expression of interest from shipbuilder Privinvest Holding SAL of Germany to buy an equity stake in ABG. Privinvest Holding is a renowned name owning shipyards including Nobiskrug Gmbh in Germany, Hellenic Shipyards SA in Greece, CMN in France, ADM Kiel Shipyards in Germany and Logistics International SAL ADM Shipyards in United Arab of Emirates. According to the Privinvest website, the company and its group and affiliated companies are major companies in the worldwide naval, commercial vessels and super yacht industry.
