Deloitte survey reflects a wintry mix of optimism, caution

Ten days before the OPEC "Thanksgiving Day Surprise" that caused oil prices to fall, a Deloitte poll of 250 energy decision-makers indicated people were already thinking about slowing their capital spending in 2015. Six out of 10 respondents also said the energy industry was moving in the right direction, and that exports will be key to maintaining the viability of unconventional oil and gas.
