摘要

Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics will come together to develop and produce solid-rocket motors in a bid to improve the nation's crippling domestic supply chain for the energetics systems that power most of the Pentagon's munitions, according to an announcement issued today. "Maintaining a robust and diverse supply chain for solid-rocket motors is critical to advancing our 21st century security vision for a stronger, more resilient defense industrial base that keeps our customers around the globe ahead of emerging threats," Tim Cahill, president of Lockheed Martin's missiles and fire control unit, said in a statement. "This agreement enables Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics to ramp production of in-demand solutions more quickly going forward."
