JUNIOR KAROON GAS Australia (49%) may well have hit the ball out of the park on its first well in the Browse Basin after four months of drilling the seven trillion cubic feet potential Poseidon-1 with operator ConocoPhillips (51%).The well reached total depth of 5,112 metres on April 28 with preliminary results showing that over the Middle Jurassic Plover Formation reservoir interval below 4,796m three gross sand intervals of 10m, 67m and at least 139m were penetrated.
