US company ConocoPhillips looks to have made a significant gas discovery offshore Australia that is rich in natural gas liquids (NGLs).The firm says the Poseidon well in the Browse basin off the northwest coast could provide gas for additional LNG trains at its 3.5mn t/yr Darwin LNG facility in the Northern Territory, as well as yielding significant LPG supplies.
