New developments in CE marking of machinery safety

The freedom of movement of machinery within the European Union is guaranteed by CE marking in accordance with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements set out in Annex I of the Machinery Directive, the new version of which (Directive 2006/42/EC) will come into force on 29 December 2009 to replace the previous directive (Directive 98/37/EC).
