70th anniversary of the Afanasev Fur Farming and Rabbit Husbandry Research Institute

The Rabbit Husbandry Research Institute was indicated in the network of research institutes of the RSFSR confirmed by decree of the RSFSR Council of People's Commissars on May 3, 1932. The history of the Fur Farming and Rabbit Husbandry Research Institute began from that day. At the start of its journey, the institute provided scientific support of only one sector - rabbit husbandry, and at present it is the main scientific institute coordinating research into problems of cage furfarming and rabbithusbandry in Russia.
