REGULATOR CLEARS NLMK TO BUY 100 PERCENT OF MAXI STEEL GROUP

The Russian Federal Anti-monopoly Service (FAS) has cleared Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) to buy 100 percent of steel mini-mill developer Maxi Group, the FAS said in materials. The FAS in February denied clearance for the transaction because NLMK had submitted incomplete information. This time, the regulator allowed the transaction, provided NLMK upholds all competition rules in the markets for hot- and cold-rolled steel.
