PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF ELECTROLYTIC COPPER POWDERS AND THEIR PRODUCTION

AO URALELEKTROMED' is the only producer of electrolytic copper powders in Russia and CIS countries. These powders are used by a number of other industries: electrotechnical industry, machine building, and others.Production of electrolytic copper powders started during World War II and had to be organized in a very short period of time. First powders were fabricated on 15 May, 1942. In later years, the plant successfully carried out all orders coming from varies branches of the economy. The result of more than 55 years of hard work of the plant's specialists, scientists of the Ural'skii Polytechnical Institute, and institutes UNIPROMED' and GINTSVETMET is evident in 20 brands of copper electrolytic powders, showing a wide spectrum of physical, chemical, and technological properties, that were developed and are being manufactured to this day.
